Edge to Edge Quilting

Is when I use one digital pattern that covers the entire quilt. The price below includes thread.

  • 2.5 cents/sq inch for low-medium density quilting and little to no backtracking in the quitting pattern
  • 3.5 cents/sq inch for high density quilting and/or lots of backtracking in the quilting pattern

Custom Quilting


Is when I use digital motifs, free motion quilting, border patterns, ruler templates etc. to emphasize the pieced pattern in your quilt top. This could include using different coloured threads as well. Custom quilting takes lots of design time, prep time, and quilting time, at the same time it greatly enhances the work you put into the piecing of your quilt top and the overall look of your quilt in the end. I usually discuss these projects with clients to find out what they are looking for as the end result, what density of quilting they like and what type of quilting they prefer.
For example the more digital patterns I use the more time spent making those patterns fit spaces, where free motion quilting and ruler work requires less design time but is less “perfect” looking. I understand that custom quilting can get costly and I try very hard to work closely with my clients and work within their budgets and still give them what they are going for without losing quality work or losing profit in order to afford to run my business. I truly love quilting, my clients and their happiness with my work means a great deal to me.

I Usually quote custom jobs per project but commonly custom jobs are approximately 25$/hour and they will range based on the amount of custom work required per job.

Quilts that are larger that 85″ wide will have a thread charge added.

I have two types of batting available at the moment but more to come in the future.

80/20 (bleached) 108″ wide @ 15.99 per Meter

100% Polyester 108″ wide @ 14.99 per Meter

Thread


I prefer using Glide thread, which is a polyester thread with a satin finish that leaves no lint in my machine and a beautiful sheen to the quilting. It is available in a wide variety of colours as well as a variety of variegated (multi coloured) tones.

I also have some beautiful 100% cotton threads as well if you prefer that.
